# Refund policy

How refunds work, and how to ask for one.

## The policy

Full refund any time during the first four weeks (through [FACT: refund deadline]). I'll ask why, but the answer doesn't change whether you get it.

## When you can get one

Any time from the day you pay through [FACT: refund deadline]. That includes before the course starts.

It's a full refund of what you paid. You're not asking for permission, and there's nothing for me to approve. What counts is when you ask, not when the money lands.

Nothing is charged when you apply. You only pay once your kid is accepted, so there's nothing to refund before then.

## How to ask

Email [hello@bugclubhq.com](mailto:hello@bugclubhq.com?subject=Refund), or message me from your parent account. Tell me which student it's for.

I'll ask why. Tell me as much or as little as you like. The answer doesn't change whether you get the refund.

## When the money comes back

I send the refund within [FACT: how many days after you ask]. It goes back [FACT: how refunds are paid, e.g. to the original payment method], and it takes [FACT: how long until the money shows up on your end].

When it's done, the billing contact gets an email with the amount, the date and how it was paid back, and the refund shows on the billing page in your parent account.

## Sponsored seats

If a school, employer or scholarship program paid for the seat, [FACT: who can ask for a refund on a sponsored seat, and who the money goes back to].
